Identification of Mode Shapes Based on Ambient Signals and the IA-VMD Method

The paper presents a multiaspect analysis of multivalues and the broadband nature system oscillation. By analyzing ambient signal caused by random small disturbances during normal operation interconnected power grids, many characteristics can be obtained. traditional processing method cannot extract information from signals effectively. Aiming at problem oscillation mode superposition difficulty extracting signals, an iterative adaptive variational decomposition (IA-VMD) is proposed based on frequency domain energy. Additionally, IA-VMD method, combined with bandpass filter Prony algorithm, used to realize modal identification signals. Simulation experiments show that has good adaptability, antinoise characteristics, certain significant engineering application value as well.
